Fishing a silty lake at the minute with a lead core ban that's rather silty with a bit of chod about.

Im really not a fan of hell rigs, I have been using them but im sure the fish are getting away with it on occasion.

I do however rather like a lead clip system. Im sure ive read multiple posts on here by a prominent user who will not use helis.

Im tempted to just use my normal lead set up with a longer link and a balanced bait, possibly with a small bag of crumb also.

It'd be grand if the user who's name I cannot remember can share his tactics. Or anyone else for the matter!

Regards

D.

You can use an empty method feeder instead of a lead. They dont sink in as much.

I have spent a while fishing silty lakes in my carp career , I would suggest using a light lead like an ounce if possible , use PVA nuggets on the hook point they will help the bait to settle on top of the silt. I would also go with a running lead setup .

Tight lines.
