I've been fishing a very silty water ( no much weed ) just the bottom is covered in silt which is deeper in places. There are also a lot of leaf debris around the margins as the lake is surrounded by trees. Most of the fishing is tight to snags / under trees etc and this is where most people fish (to the far margin which is out of bounds)

I've always used leadclip set ups on there, quite frankly as I do use them 95% of the time anyway unless I'm fishing a very weedy water. I have been thinking about trying a running set up on there as I've seen pretty much every other angler using the same set up... lead clips, only a couple use a helicopter rig but in my own experience I've had some strange takes using it in the past and had a few hook pulls.

What is your go to set up in this kind of situation? Thanks!

I'd just stick with what you are doing if your results are decent. Like you I have had way too may hooks fall out using Heli setups so avoid them these days
Are you sure?

This action cannot be undone.

Yes, continue
