Hi, if im fishing a fairly silty margin with no gravel spots around is the helicopter set up an efficient one?

Personally, only if you're fishing a slack line. If the bait is being lowered in, or cast very short, I'd use a normal lead arrangement.

Very good for silt fishing the heli, was my preferred choice for years. If you are fishing the margins you have a chance to cast one up the margin, let it drop and have a look at it. Depending on the depth of the silt the lead could just settle into it nicely

Deeper silt and you can lift the top bead, I prefer a longer hooklink myself so there are options
Are you sure?
