Which is the stronger of the 2 ? I'm using either one of them as part of a loop combi rig and want to use the strongest possible 👍

Can't comment on the IQ, but you won't go wrong with Amnesia. It's never let me down and it will cost you half the price for twice the amount.

Amnesia for me as well.
I keep on making the point I think Black is slightly more supple than the clear.

Well I've tied it up with both, both very similar materials, both very strong ! So looks like il just use the IQ up then the spool of amnesia will probs last me 10 years 😂 brilliant stuff for the money.

Much prefer IQ2 myself but I guess its a personal thing. May only be a small percentage but the IQ2 seems to steam better for me and is obviously a flouro whereas Amnesia is essentially a sea fishing shock leader...

Think you've sold Amnesia short to be honest.
It is memory free, so should simply pull straight and not need steaming.
Amnesia has been used for years in American lure fishing for non tooth species, as well as UK sea fishing as trace (hooklink) material, and even fly fishing and as a stiff hooklink material in carp fishing. In fact shockleaders are a secondary use.
I also found, being careful, it knots better than fluorocarbon, 3 turn blood knot, or the Rapala loop knot on combi rigs to the swivel.

Perhaps maybe but its primary purpose isn't use as a carp fishing hooklength, that was what I was getting at in a round about way. Its cheap for a reason IMO. Each to their own though, having used both I much prefer IQ2

In a way I agree, but its cheap because it is not 'carp taxed'.

Flouro wasn't made for carp fishing, just adopted the same as amnesia.

If you 'want to use the strongest possible' then I would recommend 25lb Amnesia rather than 20lb. I have used it for years and it is bullet proof. Many years ago I used to leave the hook links on for week after week and I think the hooks would have rusted off before the Amnesia snapped!

Yeah I use the 25lb, great stuff

What are the uses of amnesia, basically the different rigs you can tie up with it and also which knots do you use with it? Looking to get the 25lb as it seems like it is recommended as a good all-rounder, or is there a better breaking strain that I should use?

I use 20lb, that is what suits me, others have said they prefer 25lb. I may get 25lb in the future and compare the two side by side.
Rigs you can tie with Amnesia, there are plenty: combi-rigs, stiff hinged rig, chod rigs, stiff rig, (short) or as a hooklink itself.
It ties a very nice D-rig for various rigs.
It may be because I sometimes use Amnesia as a hooklink I found 20lb better.
The knots I use with Amnesia are 3 turn blood knot, properly lubricated, carefully slid down and tightened (3 hands would be useful), and the Rapala loop knot that Ken Townley likes. I also use an overhand knot with the braid going through the overhand knot and then Uni-knot that around the Amnesia for combi-rigs.
The combi-rig knot, check it after every fish, it can slip and pull through, although lighter blobbing the end of the Amnesia tag can help prevent that.
