Maybe a bit more context would help?

Situation, weed/no weed, distance, etc etc

There are reasons for fishing one or the other - silt, weed, bottom debris will often dictated the need to have the hooklink running (i.e Heli) . For perfectly clean, hard bottom then lead clip would be my preference.

For all -round versatility the Heli is probably the one. The top bead can be adjusted depending on the situation, plus there is the option to drop the lead with the heli-safe - although the safety of these often hotly debated.

depends if you can use a leader or not, Heli with tubing or naked don't work as well as with unleaded leader

Both, whichever is appropriate for the scenario in front of you.

Not many features pretty much all silt lead goes down with a nice donk majority of the time getting on the PVA bags early doors or sticks so it's probably gonna be lead clips to kick off

If you're landing on something firm then a lead clip or inline will be fine.

That said - as with most things, its often more about where you put the rig than the rig itself.

I used to use leadclips religiously, then I ditched them for the helicopter rig and wouldn't use anything else in all situations as it's about as safe a rig as there is currently.

Lead clip or Heli ?

Most of the time neither!
I don't particularly like lead clips at all, or even semi-fixed leads. If I'm casting long distance, really pushing it, then helicopter with a leader. If there is weed or snags, I take away the leader, accept I can't cast as far, and go back to run ring, fished either with slack or tight line dependant on whether there is undertow.

Both and also use running leads in certain situations... there's no one rig that suits every situation.

Assuming the donks are your spots, up to you. If in the silt I'd ditch the clip and go the heli with the bait as far away from the lead as needed, that may be a chod to you, but it's a extended heli to me

I've been using running rigs in deep silt with light leads and stiffish hooklinks and been getting picked up by coots still...fox edges camo run rings

Hi all, I'm fishing a couple of ressies that link together. 1 is extra silty and the other is firm clean silt (donks etc) it seems to be the consensus that lead clips offer better hooking potential and indication however ..... if I pushed the beads right down on the heli setup surely this would essentially make this comparable to a lead clip? Ie the fish will hit the lead straight away.

I'm querying this as ideally I'll use just use helis and adjust beads for whichever part I decide to fish without changing leaders etc

Any advice welcome. Also just a personal thing but I much prefer how helis cast and fly in the air, just a confidence thing

Only if you fish with a bow string tight line.
