Intending to buy some Trickster Heavy for short 3" - 4" hook lengths to place into pva bags with a 2.5oz inline lead.

Small size carp upto 20lb are the target.

Will the 15lb be strong enough or should I go for the 20lb? Just wondering if they might snap on the take with them being so short.

They won't snap as you have stretch in mono
A hook would straighten first

Go for the heavier,
I don't like thin braids as they can cause mouth damage, they are like cheesewire.

Some of the modern hooklink braids are really supple even in the higher breaking strains, so don't let the thickness put you off, especially as it will be concealed in amongst the PVA bag contents
Are you sure?
