Simple question. If you use Ronnie's and have bream in your lakes do you hook plenty of bream or not?

Any rig will catch bream, make your baits bigger

as said they'll take pretty much anything, but I think bigger baits and high pop ups definitely reduces the odds

I catch a lot of bream, pfffff, biguns as well, and yes also on the ronnie. And in contrast to carp, the bream are all hooked dead straight in the bottom lip. Ahwell

Now you mention it I have also had the bream nailed right in the bottom lip whereas the carp seem to be hooked all over the place. Have heard good things about the Mugga in size 4 so I might give them a try to see if that solves the problem,

I hooked a cat on a zig once, pads must've gone through the line but when I reeled in I had about 3ft of thick slime on the line.

Found this also, nailed in the centre of bottom lip half inch or so in. No way they were falling off.

Yes that's weird. They say that catfish have poor eyesight and detect food by smell or vibrations, but how does it find the tiny zig-rig?

A friend of my caught a 1,70 m sturgeon mid winter on a zig-rig on a pay-lake in France.
Next day he hooked the same fish again. :-)
He uses multiplier reels for carping and the second time he managed to land this prehistoric monster but the drag of the multiplier was destroyed. :-)
