Have used short chods with the stiff hinge.
I have normally bought ready mades. Going to start doing my own. Question is, is it feasible to use the Korda boom. I ask as I have this for the Ronnie rig. If it's not suitable which will be most people's choice of material.
Got to pop in the tackle shop tomorrow, will see what's available.

Cheers guys, have knocked few up with the boom. Will get some mouth trap, if any issues with the boom in a fishing situation.

Think you'll be ok with boom but watch this where it explains the slight difference.

I see people krimping mouthtrap , do you know is this is suitable ? would be alot easier to get those really short ones without getting a hook point in the finger lol
