The lake I'm fishing is about 1 1/2 meters deep.Toying with the idea to fish the adjustable zig with a 8” hook length.

I wouldn't bother with adjustable zigs in that depth. Fish it straight off the lead

I only use adjustables when I'm fishing 12 ft or more.
Imo an 8" hooklink on an adjustable aint long enough buddy. You want to get that foam/hookbait away from the float. I go 2 or 3 ft.
