Yo!

New to carp fishing, so please be patient.

When deploying a hair rig, am I relying on the weight of the lead weight to initially hook the fish as he tries to pull away?
If so, how do I get around using very light lead weights?
The reason I ask is that my local puddles are rather small and because I'm crap at casting, I struggle to cast accurately at 30-50% which makes me want to use much lighter weight so that I can still cast with a reasonable amount of effort, at least until my technique is good enough to dumb it down a little.
Hope my question makes sense....

Cheers, Kev

Any tension with sharp hook will work. The weight of your lead will be sufficient
Are you sure?

This action cannot be undone.
