Hi all, I'm going to be fishing a venue that does well on PVA bags. I usually use the multi rig for my current venue popped up with a korda choddy size 6 hook and works well. I'm planning to stick with the multi rig using a 12mm wafter in the solid bag with coating stripped back. What hook would you advise to use. The choddy does well for me popped up, will the same hook work as good lying on the deck? I've tied a multi with a size 6 curve, but it looks to aggressive an angle if that makes sense lol.

I wouldn't mess about with a multi in a bag. A bog standard uncoated braid hooklink tied knotless knot will do the job. The fish will likely be sucking in your rig along with most of the bag so rig mechanics/ the thinking behind the multi-rig wont even come in to play.

I've always done similar in my bags. ESP supple braid, knotless knot on a size 8 with a 10mm pop up with a split shot on the hair. Had plenty of fish like this.

Same here. 4/6 ins 18lb supernatural uncoated braid knotless knotted to 6/8 wide gape plus line aligner. 3oz flat pear Bait is a wafter. Had a lot of fish with this.

I what hook pattern would be most people preference? I have some size 6 muggas, but would a wide gape be better in a bag?

On a soft braid a mugga would be perfect, should flip and turn in your hand easily

Tie one up and see how it flips, muggas generally don't need tubing because of their in turned eye

Braid hooklink, line aligned with a size 6/8 Gardner Mugga.
I found that on a weedy water a plain knotless knot did not hook fish. It needed the line aligner to stop them ejecting it. I was able to watch the fish at 10metres range quite clearly spit the bait and hook out. As soon as I added the shrink or silicon tube line aligner they were getting hooked properly.

Only the Korda medium line aligners mate but most of the time I use some shrink tubing then steam them
Are you sure?
