bought what i thought was the pliers as description was misleading on ebay turns out its 50 crimps i also ordered spare krimps so now i have 100 krimps and no pliers!
Korda ones seem silly money places that do have them in stock!
So any cheaper brands that can be used with the korda krimps?

You can't use the Wychwood pliers with Korda line though. Or any other Korda product. Not if you want to catch carp. Goes against the grain and could cause your rods to get pulled in by a sturgeon, if you have them in your lake otherwise it'll be a bad ass bream on steroids. Certainly those southern ones.

I gave up with the wychwood and korda ones as the holes never line up on any of them. Rather crap really for the money.
So, I ended up redrilling new holes

when im crimping with a wychwood tool do i crimp the widest part of the crimp first to splay the end and then the flatter side after?

No don't do that you will weaken the crimp. Just place the crimp in the middle of the tool and crimp down with force. Splayed ends are a sign you've done it correctly

Just make sure you test the crimp with a couple of pulling tools, I lost a fish due to whychwood crimps slipping on the boom material, changed to korda crimps with whychwood pliers and they are rock solid .

make sure you blob the ends of your tags before you crimp.
If it slips at any point when you're fishing, the blob stops the line being pulled back through the crimp. only needs to be small but it's saved me a couple of times.

nearly 4 years later and I did exactly the same, misleading advert!
The korda krimping tool and crimps have been great to use and worth the extra spenny
