About to try surface fishing with Pedigree mixers for the first time.
Seen various videos showing different ways of attaching the biscuit to the hook/hair etc. Which is the best way to ensure a beginner will get a few takes?
Thanks

Tbh they aren't that great as hookbaits imo, a shaped pop up or some floating pellets would make a better hookbait

Thanks for the replies. Is it better to have the hook below or above the bait or have the bait away from it on a hair?

I've done several trials and always found that some carp spot the hook and the refusal rate goes up, whether it's on a hair, band or glued.
I always bury it inside now and I'm very happy with my take and hook rate.
Either treat/ soak the dog biscuit as per a recent thread or use something like a crafty floater which is almost a soft dog biscuit with added flavour.

Would you shape it though, or weight it with a small shot to keep the hook above the surface?

I took a load of dog biscuits with me t'other day and didn't use them once I had tried the Nash Bread Bomb first. Incredible invention. One piece of bread stayed on for at least half a dozen casts at a time.

Well tried this out yesterday. The carp were clearly cruising around the surface by mid-day.
Fired 3-4 mixers in to see if the fish were interested and they were. Fired another 3-4 in and again they were quickly taken.
Started with a cut down boilie. Had lots of swirls and splashes around my hookbait but only hooked 2 carp (could of had 10)
Time for a change. I drilled a few dog biscuits and pulled a bait band through them on a hair. Thought was match the hat. Give em what I'm feeding and what they're clearly taking off the top.
It was like flicking a light switch on and in just 2 hours I had landed another 12 carp.
Magic. Thanks for the tips guys.
