Anyone use this?

Having seen Matthew Collins use it, I have to say it's the most simplistic, easiest to make rig. I'm going to give it a go myself but wanted to ask if anyone has tried it and/or is using it currently? What's your thoughts?

Yep, my go to pop up rig. Dead simple and reliable. Don't bother using chod hooks for it though, it's way better with straight or Inturned eye hooks

also my go to rig. I use quite a supple coated braid and don't strip at all.

Both interesting replies. No stripping of the braid so it's very stiff. Doesn't give you much of a hinge in that case?

And no out turned eye hooks? Again, quite a contrarian approach from the norm.

I strip a tiny little break in the coating as I use Tungskin which is fairly stiff. I stumbled across using Inturned eyes by accident really, fancied giving it a go and did t have chod hooks so just tried with an Inturned eye, liked the look of it, and that night had a couple on it, with brilliant hook holds. So I've played about quite a bit with different patterns and chod hooks imo give the worst hook holds of them all(that I've used). Nash fang twisters are my number one choice for it, although as they are jow discontinued I'll have to find something else when my stash has run out. The new versions are rubbish

Fairly certain I saw a fox copy of them quite recently. Never used fox hooks so can't comment on their strength etc.

sorry to hijack, but do you ever use the multi when fishing wafters or bottom baits?

Nope, for those a simple knot less knot, no kicker or anything. As simple as it gets

I've a friend who loves his rods and reels from them, but will never use their hooks as he's told me he's lost quite a few on them. Unsure why but it's another reason I'd never buy them.

I've used the multi with a bottom balanced bait , good hook holds too, but as said below a simple hair rig is just as good.

So I tried the multi rig out yesterday on a day session. Have to say I was mightily impressed. I used both pop ups and bottom baits and caught on both. Changing hooks really simple too.

Used a Nash claw. Really like Nash hooks and tackle generally.
