Trying to come up with a rig to fish in silk weed. Can't use leadcore and have to have a couple of foot of tubing. Would a heli rig with a big swivel still move correctly on tubing? Nice little wafter to settle above weed. Any thoughts appreciated...

If you're allowed to, use a barbless hook. They snag less on the silkweed.

Could chuck a pva bag in it, not allowed barbless. In theory a chod is the answer as I want to cast at showing fish, which they seem to do a lot at times. Just have little confidence in chods.

At Horseshoe they recommend 12" long fluoro hook length with tungsten beads along it - idea is the weight can go through the silk weed and hook length lies on top.
