Looking at fishing with solid bags
Never really used before but wondering if I'm better off using pop-ups, wafters or just a boillie
What's people views on this, please

I like a popup that will just and so lift the hook free of the contents of the bag. Not sure it makes a difference tbh but makes sense in my mind, i like to think the bait goes in the carps mouth first if you will...

Small barrel wafters are ideal in my experience. Their shape allows you to sit the bait and hook in a specific position in the bottom of the bag and if you tune the buoyancy versus hook size you can get the hook bait to sit up above the pellets while the hook is still hidden.

I've been using bags for almost all my fishing for quite a while.

Did well at first then lost confindence and started changing baits, pop ups/wafters etc.

I'm now using the smallest pop up I can that just lifts the hook off the deck, more of a hover than a pop up (if you see what I mean).

Has some incredible hook holds, will definitely be sticking with it now.

I use 2/3rds of a sticky krill barrel with half a PJPU's barrel in yellow or white which has served me well for a number of years a bit of faffing about but works for me

Had a lot of success with small krill barrel wafters.
