Recently started fishing a very weedy lake - was just wondering the best method of zig fishing, adjustable zig or just normal zig fishing - not very deep 10ft at the most. Just concerned about the zig getting caught in the weed and not being able to present itself well.

Normal zigs in weed. Its landing them you need to worry about though mate.

Landing them? As in landing untangled? That's the worry that's why I do like the adjustable. Maybe a PVA nugget would help

There comes a point with weed where you can't fish zigs, it's a matter of judgement. In any serious weed I would avoid adjustables. I use them regularly, they are very effective in deep water, but in weed no. Imo

As in landing fish buddy. If they get their heads down in that weed they're not coming out on zig line without the use of a boat.

I agree mate. When it really gets up zigs are not the one.

Sorry I get what you mean - yeah completely understand. Surface fishing may be the one then if they're in the higher layers. Thank you 👌
