Alright Lads, I'm planning on fishing a water that's got a tubing only rule unfortunately. I want to use a running rig but not sure what components will work with tubing. I have seen the Fox tapered kits not sure if they are tubing friendly or not. Before I buy some off the net does anyone know of any components that will work with tubing. I know I would prefer a large bore ring with the tubing so not to restrict it too much. The enterprise ones with the c clip look spot on. If I have to use tubing I normally use rigmarole stuff I know that the diameter can cause problems with other companies components but if anyone could recommend anything that would be great.

Using rig rings or whatever they're called you need to make sure they run smoothly on tubing and not catch due to friction, this may not present a problem with water as lubrication but check to make sure you're happy. You can get SiC run rings from Free Spirit and Catfish Pro or use a silicon liquid, Greased Lightning is an angling branded version for example. Put a power gum stop knot on the line above the tubing to prevent it sliding up the line.

Thanks for your reply, I really wanted to avoid anything above the tubing if at all possible I have seen some tulip beads that maybe be able to keep it as it should be.

It is possible to glue your tubing into a rig sleeve with care, you might want to check it from time to time for degradation and use a more 'rubbery' adhesive. Obviously check that the line can still run free inside the tube. The Rigmarole metal coil tubing ,whatever it's called, Freefall ? sounds like a good choice, the rigidity will assist in the travel through the sliding ring.
Experiment!

Solar and Fox run rings both slide easily over tubing, in fact they do, or did, sell Running rig kits complete with run rings, links, beads and tubing. The good thing is that you can mix and match components.

I normally use rubber tulip beads or the provided beads to cover the swivel, and don't glue the tubing inside.
Glueing it makes the end of the tubing brittle, so it can break😉
When you push the tubing into the bead, pull it a little further than needed, and lighter blob the end, making sure you still leave the inner hole. That blobbed end stops it pulling back through the bead.

Korda run rig rubber and enterprise rings. If you have to use tubing just slice it (about an inch) at the end along it's length, tie the tags to the eye of the swivel with a granny knot, trim the tags tight and cover with the run rig rubber.
Wedged in or blobbed, it won't hold as well as a knot.

I use a large eye swivel with a quick link attached to it covered with a bit of silicone.Works a treat and easy to change lead size.

Don't think a large eye swivel will have enough bore to allow the tubing to move unrestricted.

I always use a running rig on tubing, with enterprise snag safe run rings.

Have a look on tackle box at Osprey tactical tulip beads, you can jam your swivel in, and the bore is large enough to get tubing in tightly, so it rarely comes out. It's also slightly tapered, so I just trim it down if I'm using a thicker tubing.
