Hi,

I occasionally fish and am looking forward to it once allowed to. I was looking at a fishery near me which looks good but on the rule it states no naked line rigs. I haven't been to a fishery with this rule before and have a quite simple set up. Would anyone be able to give an example of an allowed rig? Is the tubing just for the hook length or a mime length? Thanks

No naked lines would suggest you would have to use a length of tubing on your mainline or a leader (leadcore, ect). I would imagine its to stop thin line lifting scales on fish.

If it doesn't say you could getaway with a couple of inches of tubing and technically be within the rules
I would go with between 12 and 18” to start with

However you could ask someone like a bailiff or owner before you start
