I always used to use this, got a free sample to try and was amazed at the time.
I don't use it now due to the fact the coating was a bit of a pain when knotting, use the esp stuff now

I love jel e wire. Used it in the lower breaking strain 15 lbs or 20lbs I think and personally thought it was one of the best coated braids I've come across.
I got told they stopped making it though?

Or was it just the 15lbs gravel colour version they stopped making which I liked? Admittedly haven't used or bought any recently

Iv used the 25lb brown version and is good but i use the gardner ultraskin super soft 25lb now and think its much better. They do a 35lb version aswell

Okay I'll take a look at that too, do you think the 35lb will still follow the contours of the lake bed when used with a lead clip system

Yeh deffo the super soft ultra skin is really good, nice and supple, strong knots, strips easy. The 35lb is not much thicker than 25lb. May i ask why you are using 35lb?

Thanks for the info sounds decent. Just the lake I'm fishing has got alot of snags in so would rather use the heavier breaking strain just to make sure.
