Hi just a quick question when tying up the Ronnie rig do you think the colour of the hook bead and silicone over the hook make a difference? Iv recently been seeing people use all kinds of different colours.. Do you guys have a preferred colour? Does it really matter...

Imho...... nope.

Edit: to expand on that brief reply; I always use brown and I have a pal that always uses these garish pink/yellow Korda jobbies and we both catch plenty so for me it makes no odds.

When using fluro and brightly coloured hookbaits I don't see it making any difference especially when they are tipping up to feed.

I might think differently with less blatant hookbaits though.

Saying that I always try to match my silicone and rubber sleeves to the lake bed. Just a confidence thing really.

I dont think it makes a difference at all. The pop up sits so low to the lake bed that the pop up hides most of the hook any way from the carps vision

If fishing over corn I use a yellow kicker and 12mm yellow pop up.
But tbh I don't think it matters one bit!

The yellow one as the Mrs would kill me for taking the last red one

I've used green, black and brown shrink tube and yellow, white and pink kickers on my Ronnies.
Whatever i found in the tackle bag. Doesn't make one single bit of difference imo.
