Has anyone used the hermit rig?
I was thinking of giving it a go but just thought I'd see if there was any feedback on it?

In the welly whackers video (on YouTube) Steve mentioned using the tubing from John Roberts feeder booms. However, despite the promise about how to make the rig up, the video omits this.

Load of rubbish if you ask me. Mr Renyard seems to be the master of self promotion...'withy pool rig' this, 'basic compilacted rig' that....its all a numbers game to him with fish as well. Each to their own but his outlook is very different to mine.
His description of the hermit rig on the latest TA video is cringey, suggesting that a rig with a silly bit of pole elastic catches fish that other rigs wouldn't is nonsense.

I don't think he comes across as self promoting at all. I'm sure there are people out there who are glad he has shared some of his rig innovations. If you're a big fish angler, (which I am definitely not - any size that comes my way is gratefully appreciated), I'm sure you wouldn't be upset to have caught over a hundred English thirties.
