How to create your own loop rig, to make a combi rig with a stiff boom section. I've searched on the internet, but can't find it...

There's at least a couple of ways
Piece of line or braid with a figure of 8 loop tied in each end
Or
A piece of line with a loop crimped in each end
I just use an Albright knot

If you are referring to the loop section then just do knot less knot but use a folded over piece of braid and do same as a normal rig but you'll be passing a loop back through as opposed to a single piece of braid. You can use one of the tag ends as a hair and just cut the other off and then shrink tube or kicker it
