Palomar knot for me , I always use it wherever I can as I've found it's the strongest knot out of all of them

So figure of 8 knot in mainline then loop to loop connect to leader?

Yes but test your line, I have found some just do not keep their strength with a loop knot. If this is the case then I use a grinner knot but pass the line twice through the leader loop.

yes mate i am using 15lb syncro xt found its fine with a loop to loop connection.

I have used loop to loop in all my fishing for many years. Absolutely reliable provided the loop is formed with a properly tied figure of eight knot. Recently seems some confusion with overhand/fig8 knots. Overhand knot is weak and unreliable, particularly in mono. Loop to loop for me.
