One of the wheels on my fox alarms seems to be sticking and not moving as freely, I can't see anything blocking it, anyone got any ideas? Alarms are about 5 years old

What model is it can it be opened easily, some of the later model's can be pretty awkward to open up. I can only surmise there's a foreign body in there causing some resistance the roller spins in a small sealed confined area, over the years I've had spiders inside and in the spring those green caterpillars, if it can't be opened try a air line to see if you can blow anything out. Unless the rubber O ring on the roller (if it has one) has split try and look inside with a torch

I had this with one of my mmxr alarms over Christmas. I thought my middle alarm had stopped working..it beeped when I turned on but when I pulled line there was nothing..then I realized the wheel wasn't spinning...I was just thinking about getting my spare alarm from my bag when a small spider appeared from inside the alarm... probably wondering what all the disturbance was!😄the alarm worked perfectly afterwards..

I use the SX and had rust on one of the wheels a few years ago dismantled them rub with wet n dry and good as gold again

Do you mean rust on the magnets, I bet you'd picked up some metal dust from somewhere then causing a build up.

Did you find anything, I always found it useful to give the wheels a good spray of silicone spray from time to time to stop the build up of crud on the shafts of the wheels, dried really quickly so nothing to transfer onto the line and also doesn't stay greasy like wd40
