If its got a big enough lid, you can cook indirectly and use a smoker box to add some flavour
I built my own smoker but if I started over I'd look at a kamado
I've got a smoker a gas grill and an ooni in the garden, they all get used

Thanks for advice but I've had a fair few of that type of bbq ok to start then they become a dirty rusty bbq I fancy the cobb drains oil away can put it on table won't rust will buy a new one I was impressed how clean the second hand ones on eBay look after use

Sorry but what are flavour bars also with the cobb which is best coals to use and can anyone explain about wood how to do it

Same as, a BBQ has to be coal burning, anything gas is just an outdoor oven . Both cook food perfectly well though

I guess it depends on it you really meant grill or hob

Each to their own, I know some people like gas...... But it's not for me

Anyway, there is some good info further back in this thread about charcoal etc. I use the Cobb cobblestones mostly as they are easy. I also have some cheap loki ones that are ok for quick n easy stuff. I've not tried heat beads or other charcoal on mine........ Yet

Definitely some good stuff on here. I got a Weber Go Anywhere for on the bank but I still keep looking at Cobbs. When I've seen them on the bank they seem a better alternative to the BBQ for those long winter nights

Your opinion ireverant your the gutless person that arranged to sell me a baitboat on return from you French trip

costing me money I sold my baitboat cheaply and quickly to fund the purchase after you advertised it in classifieds and the deal was agreed on.the phone

I even booked a week off work so I could drive up to you to collect it
And try it for a few days locally

Then you would not answer my calls or Msgs?? You coward didn't have the guts to tell me you sold it for s better price

Like others I use mine in.the garden too cooking joints of meat beef chickens anything really spuds or veg in the moat lots of face book groups and youtube videos

You are the one lying you advertised your defiant baitboat in classifieds we we exchanged mesgs with phone numbers I phoned you and you said you were using it if France for a week and I would drive up on the Sat or Sunday and collect to for the price advertised but I kept phoning you your phone rang or was engaged but you never once answered it
