I know that Gladwells were looking to distribute and buy Carp Porter around 5 years ago, same as they own Crafty Catcher.
Not sure why it fell through then.

I must admit my Porterlite has never been any problem nor my mates original Porter other than his lack of care, left in a damp leaking shed, but lasted around 10years I guess, maybe more.

Thing with Korda buying them, you do get good advertising and market saturation.
