Thinking anglers curve have served me well but a big fan of Angling Iron hooks at the moment

Tried the kranks on both rods. 6 runs, 5 landed. Will stick with them for a while.

I know it's not a wide gape but the Carp Spirit curves are great ronnie hooks

I've used the carp spirit or angling iron in a size 6 for the last 4 years or so. Consistently good hook holds, obviously the odd hook pull here and there as with any hook, but never opened one out either. With a 12mm pop up they are perfect for me. I recently bought 10 packs of the vmc ones off eBay which are the same hook for £1.50 each and been impressed with them too !
