Well after making about a dozen booms up crimping at both ends l've only had one that slipped which was probably me not crimping it right all the rest have been spot on when given a good pull for a few seconds with a pulla took on each end and with having a small loop at each end it's easy to notice any moment, l going to use the Korda Kranks on these also crimped a few up to use for the turbo Germany rig but crimped these right up to the spinner swivel no loop, any ideas on which hook suits these best.
I'm in my 60s now and do these on my dining table with a reading light on and l'm painfully slow at them but hopefully won't let me down when l do next get out, would be nice to be younger where you see them knocking rigs up on the bank but think l'm well passed that.

If I was fishing a silty estate lake, lead clips and flouro booms would not be the way I'd go, unless I was searching out those hard spots. I'd fish it with a heli rig, and either long hinge stiff rigs over boilie or bottom baits over particle
