1 to 2 inch of lead core or lead free, not a leader as such but a rubbing section for the swivel, run it by the bailiff

if there is anything more fiddly than trying to set up the korda heli tubing kit on rig marole tubing i'd like to know what it is... jesus

I also fish a couple of waters with leader bans, and so use rig tubing. No huge preference but currently using Korda dark matter. I tend to use at least 1m of rig tubing, mainly because I use various rigs, but mainly lead-clip, heli, running rig or PVA bags.
If like me, your issue is mainly down to threading your mainline through the rig tubing, then what I usually do when switching between rig types is to just slide the tubing up my mainline a little, then tie a figure of 8 loop knot to stop the rig tubing sliding off the mainline. I often put my rods away like that in the sleeve with just the tubing on the mainline, unless I know I'll be using the same rig next session, or if I'm fishing PVA bags. Also easier to switch reels between rods that way too.
Obviously if Im using lead clip, running rig or a heli (usually Korda's heli-safe with the rig tubing top bit), then I just tie them on, takes less than 30 seconds for a nice grinner knot - a little bit of faf with the heli-safes, but once you've done it a few times its easily a 30 second job. Korda do some beads for use on rig tubing, but they rely on some silicon tubing, which can be a PITA getting up the rig tubing without splitting it - Nash do some beads designed for rig tubing too - but the Korda ones just look safer to me as they can drop off rather than relying on the beed to slide off, so I prefer using the Korda ones.
For PVA bags, I switch between two setups depending on availability of leads - both with rig tubing. One uses the Thinking Angler stalks with the drop off leads with a slot in, the other, I make up myself with a 6" long length of lead-free leader material setup with an inline lead but in drop-off mode (not through the lead. I prefer the stalks but often find the leads with slots in are out of stock, so then use my own drop off setup with lead-free leader. I don't use loop to loop for this, again I just tie either on with a grinner as it makes for a cleaner setup. Then slide the rig tubing down to the grinner knot, and use either a shortish 2mm piece of silicon tubing over the knot/tubing/stalk or a cut-down Korda long anti-tangle sleeve.
Not quite as easy as a loop-to-loop, but I believe its safer - but happy to listen to others that think otherwise ?
