How much tube are people using ???? Personally I only use a 3-4mm piece and never had a problem 👍

Easiest way by far is if you slide your silicone down the braid, then pull the braid really tightly against your finger which opens up the silicone, then just slide your hook through, I use wide gape x which are a thick wire gauge and 0.5 silicone and it fits perfectly nice and tight and I never tear or pierce the silicone. There is a video on YouTube of Tom maker doing it, I think it's called Tom's simple rig or something and it shows it on there, couldn't be easier.

I always used shrink tube, double or tripled up on top of each other if needed.
