I've not used them mate. I think they're for leadcore but worth asking them to be sure

The no trace bead system is superb. I used it on leadcore when it first come out, brilliant idea
I have recently gone back onto helicopters and lead free (not that i can see a huge difference) and i believe they have upgraded the material of the sleeves. The first time around they were crap and didn't last long, seem a lot tougher material to me now?
I tried the ends of a taiil rubber and hook link sleeves in the past and found them much more reliable, keeping the size down is the key though!
Failing that, its another kit

I agree. Peeps are quick to have a pop at Korda when they don't like a product, but rarely do they show appreciation for something that deserves it.
Korda deserve a ****ing medal for the No Trace system. Absolutely brilliant imo.

And so simple. Who's idea was the split bead?
I was never entirely convinced that a tapered bead on a stop would clear the leader knot as easily as everyone seems to think, specially if there was any weed about.

They make some quality products, no doubt. Its the advertising hype and bull**** that grinds me.
I cant understand why nobody has made a normal rubber or tungsten bead with a slit in it that just pops over the lead core and grips, when pulled it pops off

Gutted, tried them today and they are far too slack, must be intended for lead core.

Another choice if you're desperate and fish mono straight through is to take a standard 6mm bead and pierce a baiting needle through it sideways, run that up your line. You can also fill the holes with putt then too

I wouldn't go recommending piercing beads like that, no trace and large bore beads with sleeves are a thing for a reason. I know a few places you'd be pulled up if you were seen using that

It needs some ingenuity to get it on the line but micro bore silicone then some 0.5mm silicone over the top works ok
I made a micro version of a cricket bat cone to get it on but there are a few ways to do it

But say I'm fishing straight through mono what issue can this cause if I have no knot up my mainline? Genuine question

Mainline doesn't snap cleanly, it sort of pigtails which may well mean your pierced head will get stuck due to the very tight fit. It's a really bad idea

I just got some of those, they work perfect on Leadfree Leader, haven't tried on Fluoro or Mono yet though

Learn something everyday. I've only used it a couple of times over the years when I've ran out on the bank. Cheers for the info
