I like to fish small dumbell wafters but I'm having major problems with the roach at the minute, what's the smallest diameter armour mesh...nash advertise their super narrow but it's still 18mm. anyone know of any smaller suitable armour mesh 12x16 14x18 are the wafters I use.

I suppose the only other option would be some old tights.

Gardner used to do some heat shrink stuff, used to use it if crays were a problem.

Don't know if they still do it, but this stuff looks similar: ebay item number 153482158966.

What about the Korda heat shrink stuff? That might work.

I've just tried the 14mm Fox Armo mesh on a DNA S7 Dumbbell for you, the bait is 10x15mm.
Knot in the top of the mesh, dumbbell in, squeeze dumbell toward knot and twist, and it's tight against the bait skin. I'd imagine it'll be fine for the larger size too

If you were to try shrink wrap just buy clear none branded and pierce loads of holes in it with a baiting needle.

All tho I have the Korda shrink stuff which is great I purchased some clear heat shrink from flee at a long time ago I also purchased a cheap 1 hole hole punch about 2/3 mill to make holes in said heat shrink

Have a good search tho because most heat shrink sole on there is thick walled which all tho will work would look too bulky imo

Slight aside, the thick walled stuff is better for Cray protection as it's sort of thermo setting and sets quite rigid. The thin walled stuff the Crays just crush the boilie out of it given time.

While the Ebay stuff looks cheap its better value to buy it from a manufacturer. In the early 2000s I got some differing thickness samples from a company and bought a big roll of the stuff which I still use now, think I bought 200m, comes flat on the roll.

That's what I done
Purchased a 100mtr roll from rapid electronics based in Colchester think it was about £10 for the 2.5 mm 2:1 ration heat shrink 😉👍

You can get some thin pantyhose from your lady and wrap pop up or wafter with it. I believe Mozza example in one old Rainbow lake video
