Any one use these for their rigs? Just had my stems delivered and there was a leaflet with the Ronnie booms advertised. How long do they last? Are they actually any good? Don't know whether to get some or not......?

Good product and they last ages. Personally I use crimps and boom now because I wanted a longer boom and I think its straightens a bit easier when needed.

My mate usef them in france on our last trip, he was well impressed, used the same 3 all week and landed carp to 55 plus a sturgeon in excess of 140lb from a lake bed littered with sharp rocks and bolders.

They are good but trying to stick putty to them is a nightmare. If using ronnie have to shrink tube and mould putty around the qc bit of swivel

If putty a pain to use I will probably get some of the Korda pop up weights or whatever they are called

Use the Nash tungsten swivel knot beads, they fit nicely on the fused part and you can trim them to suit.

Just been told that custom build options to be released around March. Booms from 2 inches to 16 inches and choice of swivels or just loops

I use the Gemini bag stems and they are absolutely brilliant. I am still using the same ones after 2 years with no sign of any problems. I am sure their booms will be exactly the same.

Just ordered some custom 6 inch ones with a loop one end and a ringless size 11 ronnie swivel the other end.

I like the fact I can use this as a low lying ronnie with a pop up or as a turbo german rig with a wafter hookbait.

I'll be interested to see how long one hooklink will actually last because it sure does save a lot of faff when it comes to tying them!

Do the gemini booms need steaming straight? That is one of the pro's for IQ2, how you you can just put it under tension and make it super straight!

Are you sure?
