What components are people using for this set-up?

Cheers.

I think they are all a bit dodgy as the friction up the length of the tubing will be pretty high and prevent it sliding free safely. Bit of shrink tube and a Korda one might work but they pulled their own kit due to fish safety

I think one of the biggest problems is keeping the tubing fixed in position.

Has anyone tried the Nash or fox helicopter tubing holding gear. Looks like it threads over the swivel and then secures the tubing in place
Would like to know people's opinions please as opposed to using leadcore

Looking at the bead it seems the tubing would only go in 1/4 inch
The helicopter sleeve it seems to go on a lot further
Do you have problems with the tubing coming out of the bead please. Never realised they were for this

ESP tungsten bead fits on Korda tubing but you need a tube tool to put them on As it makes the hole slightly larger
They are then a friction fit But slide easily under a small amount of pressure and wet

The tube goes right through the bead. You expand the end of the tube ( I use “no spook”) with a warmed baiting tool so it won't go all the way back through. I doubt it's the only solution but it's simple and I haven't had one come out yet

Don't Korda and nash do a safe helicopter tubbing kit? Probably best going with one of them. Unless your pretty sure what your doing. Mixing different rig components could lead to trouble.

The Korda one was recalled as it wasn't safe.

I still haven't seen any heli/tubing kit I'd be prepared to use. They just don't mix imo.

Was it a top bead issue with the Korda kit then Ian??

The only other problem I've heard with these kits is the droping of leads. A lot of people feel the fish will have nothing to pull against to free the hook link if you were to suffer a line breakage.

Bye the way I have not used this system so cant comment for myself.
