And we shouldn't accept it by saying 'oh well that's what happens'
I'd start a protest group about it but it'll only end in a fight
I hope the injured police make a quick recovery and the troublemakers a slow one( was going to say I hope they don't recover but that would probably break forum rules)

Hi Scozza,
I know you have a particular concern about the scores of police being injured over the past weeks, because your wife is a police officer. I hope she is staying safe and not in the front line, which is no place for female officers.
I tend to agree with Sir B that the silent majority may be becoming sceptical about the developments emerging from BLM re the removal of statues and looking for anything like road names, that might be construed as having a racial connotation.
I suspect that many may be beginning to believe that BLM has now been blown out of all proportion.
I believe that this will all blow over in a few weeks and that little will change. Companies donating money and making conciliatory noises are paying lip service for their own expediency. Re employment, they will carry on recruiting in their own best interests. Mook and others have shown that racial intolerance can be a factor between all races in the workplace and no doubt, also on the street, when different cultures interact.
Human nature is such that, casual racism will always exist to some extent and the trick is, not to try and eradicate it, because you can't, but to encourage people to rise above it.
Education and the path it leads to is the key. When people make good choices as to their future and become responsible members of mainstream society, they lose the yoke of victimhood and have the armour of self confidence to look down and dismiss any discrimination.

I don't think they have done the cause any justice all, quite opposite. What turns out to be a “street party” turns out to be BLM, black on blue fest when it all kicks off.
Might be some truth in what you say, the minority spoil it for the majority, people will just get fed up with it and it will be another flavour of the month
There is a clear lack of respect here and that is point number 1 that needs to be addressed. Good job all those thousands of knob heads laid on the beach together like sardines in a tin didn't kick off and have a riot ain't it!

As for Pulling down statues and changing names of roads......WTF does that do, nothing apart from let a select few act like ****s and a majority thinking there being heard when the reality is people listen and then don't act on there voice so it is old chip shop paper News within a few weeks.......

Concerning times with the Brixton situation, I said before that the MET don't actually have the muscle or firepower to police London if the proverbial really hit the fan.
They're stuck between a rock and a hard place where the world's eyes are on them in relation to treatment of the public, but this mob really want ironing out with a baton

I think they raise a valid point though about training staff. How do you deal with a 12 year old hurling verbal and trying physical abuse!
Smack her in the teeth, smack her parents in the teeth, tell her that she is a very naughty girl and should not do that ever again!!!

To be honest I'd say social services need to step in. You have a child being brainwashed in to being a racist...which will spread to her children most likely too. The social step in for much much less.
Educate the children and take tough action on racists and racism all but goes away. There will be devout racists but they will be such a small minority....less than they are now and fade in to insignificance.

It is / has got to the point where there are not enough officers to cope. Northern forces are on standby and may have to support the situation
You have to fight fire with fire for me. I saw that **** smashing the car up, they should have beat him big time. Are people seriously going to tell me that's the wrong way to deal with a **** like that
