Is there any material out there for D-rigs and the like that you can simply get straight with tension? Every material I've used so far all needs steam to get perfectly straight

I've used a fair few different mono and stiff rig materials over the years and never use steam to straighten them. I simply put them under tension and run a finger and thumb back and forth to create friction. Keep the tension on for a few seconds after the line has become warm and it will stay straight.

Not new, but 20lb Amnesia.
Black is more supple than clear

CamH20 by Rig Marole is what you want, used this stuff for years, and a bit of tension is all you need to get your rig straight again

Maybe I'm a little OTT when it comes to how straight a link can be, I do use 20lb clear amnesia and currently using 20lb boom.

I use 20lb Amnesia for mono hooklinks with bottom baits and D-rigs (tied on floss hair for bottom baits), and even on one water near rushes as a surface hooklink where the bait was right next to the rushes (fishing 'in' the rushes so fish ran out into the main lake). The Amnesia was just in case they ran back in.

I rarely use fluorocarbon as I've found (me personally), Amnesia outfished it and had better abrasion resistance.

Ordered some Camh20 to try out. I think tension with heat from friction may help the other materials I use, as tension alone doesn't get them perfectly straight

Why woud you want it straight?

25lb Boom I can get back to straight without steaming and not much bother.
But I got the 15lb version for less visibility, and I just can't get it straight whatever I try, and numerous times
Might try the 20lb, but I guess it's a trade off.. the thinner you go the curvier.

20lb I personally cannot get it pin straight with just tension. Waiting for my Rig Mario's stuff to rock up to test that.

Thanks for the suggestions, I've got my hands on both 20lb and 25lb CamoH20 and wow, the 25lb stuff is exactly what I was after. Pin straight with abit of tension.

Thanks guys once again
