I've just bought some korda multi rigs ready made. Never used them before but will be hopefully trying them out on Friday. This may be a stupid question but.... how do you attach a boilie? I've only ever used basic hair rigs until now. I feel a little stupid haha...

Never stupid questions, usually stupid answers.

Tie them onto the ring with bait floss?
You could I guess take the ring off and slide a bait screw on also.

This will give you an idea:-

How to tie a Multi Rig

PS. Moved to Rigs section

You can use bait floss, dental floss or even light mono if you can't get to the tackle shop. Put it through the ring and double it back on itself leave a few inch and cut from spool. Thread your bait on and push it up to your rig ring or swivel. You will then be left with 2 ends of floss out the bottom of the bait simply burn and blob with a lighter. YouTube is your friend 👍🏼

I always wondered why there's usually rings on them and not bait screws? I get a bit paranoid when burning some material and have the residue all over my boilie and its not nearly as easy to use..

Everyone knows carp are incredibly attracted to the smell of burnt dental floss. (Lol). Seriously though it does make you wonder. Some people used to say the smell of new tubing was a repellent. How extreme do you want to go.
If in doubt dip it in some liquid matching your bait.

I'm going fishing in the morning and have bought these korda ready made multi rigs. Can someone please explain to me in a idiot proof sentence how to attach my pop up to the ring that's on the rig? I don't have one of them screw things. I have some thin mono line I could attach but how do I do it? Is it anything like a basic hair rig? Please help someone new to this....

Have a look on YouTube for some multi rig videos . You will see them how accomplished (experts) attach bait . Have a look for John macallister- multi rig .

Have you got safe leaders or lead clips and a good unhooking mat etc

Go to Matthew Collins on the tube and type in mono D Rig.

That should sort you. Multi or D the same applies to putting a bait on.

Hope that helps 👍

Ayone who is relatively inexperienced would do well to watch everything Matt Collins has put on u tube. Good basic advice you won't go wrong if you follow it.

Sure, I'm not that paranoid (except with mosquito repellent). Though its easier to just use a rig ring, so theoretically it seems to have a double advantage.

Most the loops for the bait fell apart. I didn't catch anything from using pop ups/multi rig so I casted out a basic hair rig into the middle of the lake with a manilla boilie and caught a 5lb14 Mirror carp. I was happy to not blank on my first session of the year..

I'm guessing you mean the way you tied on the baits to the rig ring.
get your self some floss.

there are loads of videos that will show you how to tie on a bait with floss
heres one done by Angling Direct
LINKY

I prefer using a needle and blobbing rather than tying a loop, see video at 3:11

well you did when you went fishing Joss
I use small baits so not so keen on the bait screws, but they are great for bigger baits

Yeah if you're not building or renovating something

I've got a whole house to build but I still plan on going fishing, I am retiring end of this month so that will help
