Closer to 15 minutes to install, took it out yesterday and it pulled like a train big thumbs up

and having bought a fair few bits from Rob over the years as he is constantly upgrading to the latest model it will be well looked after at a fair bargain price

thats why NO details were mentioned price condition specs etc you have to have a thumb to see this and it would be pointless you knowing the price

Likewise, I sent my barrow rear leg assembly to them and they modified it and stuck a couple of wheels on. Absolutely brilliant, good bit of kit, top class company. Only took a couple of weeks as well.

I've got a Mk2 fatboy but the rear legs are not adjustable and also my front folk gap doesn't measure the same as they have on the website for the power wheel conversion

I love my rear wheels and only £64.99 a set too ! my pal bought some from another source more money and thin tyres he has had trouble with punctures
I also bought the Energiser kit and fitted it in 15 to 25 mins ( didnt time it so not exact )
loved the fact its plug and play and if anything goes wrong you have brilliant after sales service I have not been well enough to try it out yet but chemo is working and hope to be on the bank in the next couple of months big smile !!

Going to be getting these for my son's barrow at that price.
What batteries did you get with the energizer kits Gerry? I'm toying with getting the kit for my barrow but I have some doubts over the LiPo batteries. If you don't look after them they can puff and be dangerous. Had LiPo's for RC cars in the past and even when looked after (I had a balance charger and the batteries were Turnigy, so good quality). I appreciate that they are lighter than the lead one's but just not sure whether fishing barrows are appropriate use of this type of battery.

I spoke with Matt last week about a kit for my MK6 power porter and he can do it. You need to fill out the order form and he needs the width between the forks and the length of the forks.
I've been trying to decide between Global Angling and BCUK. BCUK is within 28 days. Global say they have everything in stock so a few days. I'm not sure who makes the better kit though. One thing I don't like about the battery choice from Global is that the lighter batteries are LiPo which can puff up if not carefully treated and can catch fire. LiPo are normally only good for a couple of hundred cycles. BCUK use Lifepo4 which are pretty much maintenence free and good for 2000 cycles. They also stand less chance of memory issues if drained past 80% so more trips before needing charging.

Global been going longer than most and have never had any problems as far as I am aware and gets rave reviews

Thinking of going to visit them this week as I e mail about fitting to a nash trax metro but they weren't sure if the same as the trax evo and wanted dimensions but they are less than an hour away so will call and see if I can pop down with my barrow.

Went for the long range battery and they fitted everything and threw in a battery/controller bag and hand control cover. Great service I thought and would recommend them.

I have their kit on my prestige big boy triporter barrow and can't recommend them enough. Easy to fit and so strong. I put probably 100kg+ worth of gear in one go and it takes it on the chin and keeps going even on horrible wet muddy surface.
Don't know how i managed without it. Can do 1 trip instead of 2/3 pushing and literally can 1 hand it to my swim. Well worth the money if you use your Barrow a lot. The long range battery also lasts forever.
Ps their customer service is top notch too. Always instant replies to emails and very helpful when something goes wrong. My battery charger had a lose connection they sent me a replacement on the day of enquiry next day delivery. Great company to deal with

Just put the battery on charge in ballance mode set at 2amp and 23.65 volts but having now read the battery spec I could have upped the amps to five as the manual says its a 2 hour cycle and will switch off. Now wondering if its best to charge at five anps or to use more cycles at a lower rate to get the best life from the battery pack?

I paid to have the connectors upgraded on mine, I could barely pull them apart at times and being plastic they would have got ruined.
The metal ones are so much better and have a latch so literally no force is required

I asked if there was an easier opening connectors as I was struggling to get them apart.
They fitted some metal ones for me, I think it was for £25.

I've got the 10amp battery version and so far used it twice on a 22 acre lake fishing the furthest swim from the car park over bumpy ground with three inclines on the way round. Take bedchair, water butt, bait bucket, large tackle bag, matt, rods, bivvy, cool box of food. This lot weighs about 100kg, it's surprised me how the weight soon adds up. Battery is at about half capacity according to the display but I'm probably going to charge it back to full capacity before my next trip as it did feel a little slower up the inclines on my way back last time, this may just be my imagination as I've got used to it. So far liking mine a lot.
It got a proper soaking in the thunder storms Wednesday and Thursday so appears the electrics are water proof.
I've got the 10amp battery version and so far used it twice on a 22 acre lake fishing the furthest swim from the car park over bumpy ground with three inclines on the way round. You can also use the battery as a backup option to charge your phone ect if required. Not something I would do as I use a fair bit of power charging my phone, vape, headlight, zappa ect and would probably run it flat and end up pushing the barrow back.

oh just seen the phone charger box for the Lipo batteries but it needs to be ordered at the time of purchase or you can send your old controler back to be upgraded

The early controller i have from them has a 12v output lead and plug already on it and global sell or at least used to sell a lead that plugs into this with a 12v cig lighter connection in this they put a adapter with a usb and usb c connecter in it.
It would also take any other cig adapter

Sorry mate. Not been on here for a while as going through a messy separation. Yes, I've ordered the kit from BCUK only because IMHO the batteries are better. I've had LiPo's before and they are more hassle than it's worth. The one's that Global provide are the soft packs which are even worse for getting damaged. If they Haddon the LiFo batteries I would have gone with them. Unfortunately Mitch has been inundated with work so is behind on his orders but he's taken on 2 extra staff members for future orders. I've been told mine should be here by the end of the month.
I believe Global and BCUK are both excellent companies to order from. It was purely down to battery choice for me.

Bit back, Hobby King is good for Lithium batterys etc, trouble was at time battery/ batteries, wanted £30 P & P.
So ended up 2 x Lead Acid 15AH, there not that massive/ heavy, certainly compared to 22AH.
Don't look as bad on Hobby King at mo, but i'm OK with what i have (but you never know).
One thing you have couple more options with controller most peeps have got.
You have reverse wire's (2), some have used them with a simple switch & works well by looks.
note; not talking about the learning wires (for reversing wheel spin direction, if spinning wrong way).
Another option 2 x wires again, theres a electric brake option (simple switch again needed).
Not looked recently, but not seen any info/ results of doing this ?
Both look useful, especially electric brake, backing down a steep bit of bank.
Yet again have Global etc tried them & results ?

ps one thing with Lithium batteries, they start degrading as soon as there made, you want as fresh as possible.
Don't buy a spare & stick it on a shelf, it will be degrading just like one your using.
They like tip topping up, so don't worry about charging up all the time.
They have low self discharge. If not using for a fair while thou, leave at about OTOH 80% charge.
Good info on sites like Battery University, Battery Forums etc. Bit heavy reading thou.

Just received my conversion today and fitted it, absolute doddle
Now my issue is the battery and charger ( got the 10000 one)
Reading through the charger book is a mine field 🙄
Never delt with batteries or charger like this before
Can anyone advice what settings etc to charge on please before I knacker it or burn the house down

You should have received some instructions, they maybe in one of the emails sent to you when the order was confirmed. They're also on the web site under “user manuals”. If you're concerned about the battery charging then I recommend getting a Bat safe.

Had exactly the same questions.link below and bookmark as you will forget every time! The important bit is balance charge not fast charge. It's a brilliant bit of kit

Put it on another charge, the charger will automatically cut out when all the cells reach 4.2V. If you don't do this you'll end up with unbalanced cells. Make sure you check it regularly when charging. You might want to get a LiPo battery checker as well so you can check the voltage of each cell after you have used it. There's loads of stuff on YouTube about LiPo batteries, most of it is rubbish but its useful to understand how LiPo batteries work.
