Always used this in a hooklink situation but never as a leader knot. Dont know why really...... as I guess it should be as strong as anything else?

Good knot - basically just the knotless knot.
Lil' fiddly compared to tying it onto a hook shank, and PITA trimming\burning it.

Personally I prefer the Mahin knot (otherwise known as carrot knot) for a leader knot that needs to go through the rings.

If I am using braided leader I prefer the Mahin knot for longer chucks. If I am using a Fluoro leader for average distances then I prefer the Albright knot. Tend not to use to long a Fluoro leader especially has it's not needed for the distances required. Just the shape of the knots when pulled down for me.
Each to their own.

Albright knot. Sea fisherman have used this knot for their leaders for years, and for good reason. Its very strong when pulled down and tightened correctly. And tied correctly! If you get it right its one of the strongest out there, a very strong reliable knot

Quite different IMO
Mahin has both tag ends at the same end of the knot, which is much better for a knot that needs to go through the rings.

Why the long leader?
I only use about 1m, much safer in a worst case scenario
