Hi guys on the Turbo German rig does it need a shot or putty 1 to 2 inches from the hook eye or not I am using the Gemini Tidy Booms version? Thanks

As with most things, it's personal preference. Play around and see what works for you. There's no black and white when it co was to rig mechanics. There's too many variables.

That's it.
A break in the braid wil most likely turn just as easily.
I like the fox quick change weights instead of putty, they are really neat and don't come off.

On a German rig, I use a shot or sinker, mainly due to fishing lakes with Crayfish who'll have your putty for breakfast. Plus usng a shot is cheaper!!
