Typhoon ones fit the V2, and are Aquatexx type material....Storm also fit but are nylon.

So both are the same size as the V2 bivvy just different material?

I have a normal skull cap for my V2 bivvy but nothing for my V2 brolly amd was going to get a skull cap for the brolly but like the idea of the skull wraps

They are all a bit confusing and if you look at the "Sku" under each one it is obvious they are selling the same wrap for different models at different prices;

Trakker V2 Bivvy system £159.99 (sku CYP-CAPWRAP-TYPHOON-GREEN)

Trakker Tempest V2 Brolly £149.99 (SKU CYP-CAPWRAP-TYPHOON-GREEN)

Trakker Tempest V2 Air £149.99 (SKU CYP-CAPWRAP-TYPHOON-GREEN)

Cyprinus Typhoon Cap Wrap £149.99 (SKU CYP-CAPWRAP-TYPHOON-GREEN)

Then to confuse things they also have;

Trakker Tempest V2 Bivvy £179.99 (SKU CYP-CAPWRAP-MH-GREEN) which is the MH (max headroom) version so the 100T....

All of these are in "hydro-tec"..... material...

Not much in re price compared to Trakker.

I checked for the 100T as I own one

I presume the typhoon is better material

Think it's safe to say you can't presume anything with Cyprinus....see what arrives and go from there...

I've gone for the DPM version of the Typhoon for my V2 because there are so many colour variations in the Green Cyprinus material...if it fits happy days, if it doesn't it will go back....dimensions of the Typhoon is Height 130cm, width 270 and depth 230, the V2 is Height 140cm...width 270 and depth 240......so not much in it!

The MH Typhoon is Height 150, depth 240 and width 295 which sounds too big...

I agree bud I think I would just get the actual Trakker one at least I no it will fit obviously unless you have a typhoon then you will no the cyprinus one will fit

Definitely agree if I owned the 100T but for the others it's £100 plus difference, for that l will try the Cyprinus before splashing out on the Trakker...

Trakker have also stated the Advanced 100 skull cap wrap will fit the old V2 despite the shelters having different dimensions so therefore Cyprinus are not the only ones confusing matters....😂😂

I recently ordered and received a brolly from Cyprinus. A call to them regarding a couple of things clearly showed that the Cyprinus support staff had never seen one or new what was in the box. They did resolve my question so no problems there but it does show that what arrives is initially as new to them as it is to the customer.

They use a fulfillment company so the gear arrives from China and goes into a logistsics warehouse. We make and order and Cyprinus send that onto the fulfillment company who pick, pack and dispatch....if you need to return the item it goes back to the same company, not Cyprinus.

Nothing wrong with that of course and lots of companies from various industries do the same but you are right, Cyprinus don't ever handle or inspect the goods! I ordered two separate skull caps previously, one for a V2 and one for a brolly, the packages turned up and they were both the same despite the website saying they were different....

Well it sounds pretty poor to me. If I ran such a business I would want to see the product and what is in the box before any were sent to customers and I would certainly want my customer support people to know exactly what the customer should have and how it works.

mine came today for my dpm typhoon,it came in rip stop also the mesh front and rear is dpm
and the rear vents ,the the stays are a vast improvement on the original, spot on chuffed with it.

Mine came today and the Typhoon doesn't fit the V2 Tempest.... ....it's going back and being exchanged for the MH version..

Right....bear with me fellas, this might be a long post but these Skull Cap Wraps are doing my nut in!!

I have a Trakker Tempest V2 and want a Cap Wrap to fit. I look on the Cyprinus website and see...."Trakker V2 Bivvy system £159.99 (sku CYP-CAPWRAP-TYPHOON-GREEN)"....so that's great, I want the DPM version so order the DPM version of the Typhoon Capwrap.....it arrived yesterday and it doesn't fit, too small.

So I go back to the website and look again and see..."Trakker Tempest V2 Bivvy £179.99 (SKU CYP-CAPWRAP-MH-GREEN)".....OK, so that must be it then so I order that one, again in the DPM version and it arrives today......doesn't fit, far too big!

Looking again on the website the same MH wrap is also listed for the "Trakker V2 XL Bivvy" so it can't be for both....

so I now have two cap-wraps, neither fit my V2 and looking at the SKU model names, there are no others....they will both have to go back and I'm not happy!!

I've said this before, I don't think Cyprinus really know what's in the box until they get it. In the case of pre orders I think they are shipped to the customer before they reach Cyprinus central.
People say that's why they are cheap.
The answer, I think, is to wait until Cyprinus customer services have actually seen the product and then ask the questions you need.
If your content to keep buying and returning then fair enough.

And I've said before their customer services never see the items, they come into the UK, go to a fulfilment company and go out from there.....returns go back to the fulfillment company as well...

It's false advertising, their website clearly says what they are selling and what each one is supposed to fit whereas in reality they have two different sized typhoon wraps for the standard typhoon and the MH, neither of which fit the V2 as stated...

Apologies a plenty from Cyprinus this morning, appears that they were told the Typhoon would fit the V2 Bivvy when in fact it fits the V2 Air. To be fair to them they have said they will refund my return postage costs which is fair enough.

There is currently no cap-wrap available from Cyprinus that will fit the standard Tempest V2 bivvy system properly, as i have found out to my frustration.... .....hopefully they will be changing their website as others will no doubt fall foul of the same issue.

Hmmm,, wonder if the green one comes up slightly different to the DPM Rip stop....that was a good 6 inches away from the ground on all sides with the bivvy up and tension strap fitted....

The colour is a good match too practically the same as my bivvy. I thought it was a couple of inches short at first but looking at the trakker video on them,they are slightly shorter too so this is probably about right where they fit.

Friends just got one for his V2 and said it was short by four inches. I may take it off his hands as it probably will fit my Nylon MB. and possibly my Advanced 100 bivvy?

I'll be honest I'm sat in my tempest 100t ok the bank while I right this, got my skull wrap on (the proper Trakker version) mine is still about 3/4 inches from the ground, I am in a very uneven peg tho but I don't actually think they are meant to go right to the floor bud

That's certainly a better fit than the DPM one I ordered....there was no way I could have got a peg into the ground on that one!

Yeah the Trakker ones do come up slightly short as well....like you say, think they are supposed to be like that for some reason... ....the Cyprinus one though was a good 6 inches short.

Matt did you have the storm poles fitted to your bivvy when you tried the cap wrap?

Probably not the same but 2 of my mates have the Sonik AXS bivvys and both bought the winter wraps for them. One of them tried it but said it's doesn't fit at all. My other mate tried his and it fitted fine, turned out my first mate had the storm poles fitted and had effectively jacked the front of the bivvy up so the wrap wouldn't fit, the other mate had the poles set at an angle and the wrap fitted perfectly

That's probably not the case with yours and they just don't fit 😂😂

not sure if anyone else has tried it but today I fitted one of the trakker tempest advanced 100 cap wraps to my v2 bivvy system and it fits really well. Poles were a little tight to get in but that created nice tension across the peak with no sagging. All the seams lined up with frame and it pegged out nicely as well. Very pleased with it - I was contemplating getting the cheaper cyprinus version but am happy I paid out more for the trakker as it fits really well.

After trying 2 of the Cyprinus Cap Wraps that they claimed fit the V2, (and none of them do, not properly anyway) I too ordered the Advanced 100 version and although I can't peg my bivvy out properly in my garden, (fake grass... ) I chucked it over and it appears to fit OK, little bit short maybe, (could probably do with another 3 inches or so) but thanks to the elastic pegging points it should peg out OK... ...

I did ask Army Andy if he could make the skirts a bit longer and re-attach the elastics but unfortunately it is not something he would want to take in....

Yeah was not sure that it would despite what Trakker said due to slight size difference between the v2 and advanced 100 - so just wanted to confirm that it does in case anyone else wasn't sure 👍

Having said that, if you look at the Trakker videos/pictures they all appear to come up a bit short....so maybe that's just how they are....

Yeah mines like the Trakker photos. I assume it's so that air can flow between the wrap and bivvy. I was expecting a gap but at no point did I think it was too short that it would put too much pressure on the pegging points. I did take some photos but no idea how to post them on here 😂
