Might as well post them here too, the brace shot has upset quite a few new age carpers on Faceache today, loads in fact.

From a strictly no fishing venue in London. No name, completely off the radar. Epic IMO. Controversial for some though 😂

Quote... Has this fish been ottered? Looks like a missing gill plate?

I have no clue mate. But now you mention it, the fish does seem to have a big dent/scar close to the gill plate. But the gill plate all seems there.

I'll ask him, although I am quite sure that was on a social type weekend at a completely new lake/venue for Jacko, just like Sam below. He's a very good angler, catches loads. He's only just started using our hook baits last couple of weeks, he's very impressed going by what he has caught and said since he got them.

He is another person to mention that if there are any cats in your lake, the GPB2 is like crack cocaine for them. To be 100% avoided if you do not wish to catch them. Unless you are after them ..... .

We will be completely up to date with all orders again this week, Any outstanding orders that could not go last week, will be going tomorrow. I've just got back from holiday and have a load of PM's on here again regarding orders. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, ALWAYS contact us via text or WhatsApp message on our work mobile (number on contact page of website). You will get a near instant reply. Email or PM's on here, they might never even get seen is the reality.

I’m using a size 4 hook on a spinner rig. Granted it’s a fairly light gauge but using that tiny bit of foam is all it needs to hold it up for 24-30 hours. Never tried longer or needed to.

I’d happily use the 16s I’ve only gone to 13s for the long range work just to minimise drag.

You are not interrupting anything Ian. Even though I am on holiday… I have lots more time than normal. It’s only 7am in Brazil, I am up before everyone else as I am still on UK time.

Carl would have been kindly referring to the 13mm Ian. The 13mm, are less buoyant than the 16mm.

The 16mm will all hold up any sized hook, on any rig. SHR, Chod, anything with all the extra metal work.

The 13mm will hold up any size hook on a multi rig or any other normal type of rig. On a chod or SHR or anything else where lots of extra metalwork is used, size 8 hooks maximum. The 13mm will not hold up a size 4 on a chod or SHR for days.

13mm for multi rigs or smaller sized hooks on chods etc. 16mm will hold up anything whatsoever forever. Manchester Graham was using 13mm white S2 cc below. We sell a very even split of both sizes over all of our customers. In the winter more 13mm, in the summer far more 16mm.

All of our hook baits are pure food and cork. There are zero glass spheres or light powders added for buoyancy like standard type pop ups. The powders are all there for specific catching reasons, not buoyancy reasons. The S series base mix is by far the heaviest. That’s S2, S3 & S4. Followed by the GPB1. The GPB2 is by far the lightest, consequently the most buoyant.

Here is something I have never spoken about on here before regarding our hook baits. Colour, and size.

Traditional thinking with air ball type pop ups, is a bright color and the smallest size possible. Forget that. The opposite is in fact true with our hook baits. You are actually better with a larger size hook bait. A larger sized hook bait contains more of the magic. A larger size pumps it out for longer. It’s as simple as that. Traditional thinking with air ball pop ups is you need that bright colour. Well with our hook baits you simply do not. They work in a different way, triggering completely different senses. The best S2 we make is the standard brown. That is not the biggest seller. The white and pink are. The dyes added to the mixes only serves to lock them up slightly. It’s the only powder that goes into our hook baits that is not pure food, inherently attractive in its own right. The browns wash out to a pukka light yellow color very rapidly. They become more subtly visual really quickly. In the summer within one hour of being in the water they will be a completely different colour to the dark brown in the tub. Our GPB1 are the same.

If marks not about I’ll try help out.

GB2 I’ve found the most buoyant and will hold up a 4. But to be on safe side I use a small piece of zig foam just under the hookbait. Only talking a 3mm slither of 6mm foam and I’ve had no issues over 24hrs being in the lake.

Gb1 is very similar. The s2 crushed corks I just use a slightly larger bit of foam but if used on a mini swivel you can almost compress it so you can hardly see it.

Only need a small amount of putty then or small sinker of some sort.

Used on both hinge stiff and Ronnie to good affect without issue doing the above.
